But her exile is dramatically cut short by the entrance of a dark haired, blue-eyed, smirking man who shakes her to the core, achieving what everyone else before him has failed to do, he makes her feel again.

As much as he wishes it were different, fate has not brought Braxton James into Elise’s life, or has it. Brax has to keep her safe from people in her life who have ulterior motives and may want to hurt her.

Elise has no idea the threat she faces, and Brax wants to make sure it stays that way. But as Brax struggles with getting close to her, he begins to live a lie. Unable to resist the pull that is Elise’s bright green eyes, infectious giggle, and loving heart, he finds it impossible to stay away, so the double life of being Elise’s boyfriend and keeping her safe begins.

Kendall Ryan

I have read two books by Kendall and I really liked them both. I like her writing style and her stories a lot so she will be our featured author this week. The first book I read was "Hard to love" and the second one is called "The Impact of you". Read more about Kendall Ryan on Goodreads.

Needing an escape from her past, Avery chooses a college where no one knows her. Keeping a low profile was the plan, falling for the intense frat boy, Jase wasn’t. Yet she can’t deny how alive she feels when he’s near. Even as common sense implores her to stay away, her body begs her to get closer.

Jase, numb from his own family drama, has grown bored with weekends fueled by nameless girls and countless bottles when he meets Avery. Helping her cope with her past is better than dealing with the bullshit his own life’s served up. Determined to drive away the painful secret she’s guarding, he appoints himself her life coach, and challenges her to new experiences. Getting close to her and being the one to make her smile are simply perks of the job.

But when Avery’s past boldly saunters in, refusing to be forgotten, can Jase live with the truth about the girl he’s fallen for?

E.K Blair
E.K. Blair is debuting with the book Fading and wow what an awesome book. She really has a way with words like no other! You get pulled in at the first page and it doesn´t let you go until the last page. The three books in this series really brings up some very important, nasty and horrible topics and it´s all so real when reading it. After finishing this first book I will definitivly keep my eyes out for more by E.K. Blair.

Can a guilty conscience keep wounds from healing?

Fine arts major, Candace Parker, grew up with a mother who thinks image is everything, and her daughter’s perfection will never be good enough. About to graduate college and pursue her dreams of becoming a professional ballerina, Candace decides it’s time to let go and have a little fun. But fun is short-lived when a brutal attack leaves her completely shattered.

The memories that consume and torment Candace are starting to destroy her when she meets Ryan Campbell, a successful bar owner. He feels instantly connected and tries to show her that hope is worth fighting for. But is Ryan harboring his own demons? As walls slowly begin to chip away, the secrets that are held within start to become painful burdens.
At what point do secrets become lies?

Amanda Lance

We love all the big authors out there but We love the unknown even more and love to give them a boost whenever we get the chance.
One of those authors is Amanda Lance. She has written a new adult contemporary romance that both me and my sister loved and we want to hear more from her in the future. A sequel to this amazing book is in the works and that is so awesome. So the book on display this Monday is Wanted the first book by this very promising author. You can read more about Amanda Lance on goodreads

Considering she’s a girl who calculates everything, Addie Battes knew the statistical probability of being abducted in her lifetime—too bad she never analyzed the odds of falling in love with her captor.
While stopping at a crowded rest area one summer night, seventeen-year-old Addie accidentally catches a truck hijacking in progress. Desperate to rid the crime of its only witness, one of the thieves kidnaps Addie. Yet surprisingly, when a renegade thief attempts to silence her for good, Addie is saved by the very man who abducted her. Now, forced on board a cargo ship in the middle of the ocean, Addie finds herself surrounded by international smugglers who want nothing more than to throw her overboard.
All except the artistic and intriguing Charlie Hays, whose strange protectiveness convinces Addie to trust him, even when common sense tells her otherwise. Yet, despite her doubt, and his unrelenting temper, their relationship develops into something much more. But, Charlie’s scorned colleague has stowed away, and as he seeks revenge against his coworker, Addie and Charlie are forced to put their new love—and lives—at risk.

It is absolutely a read that I am sure anyone would enjoy. I really enjoyed Evan Tyler`s writing style. Read more about Evan Tyler on goodreads

A Story Inspired by Steven Tyler: The first book in a three-part series
It happened by accident, a lottery of events…
In 1988, a blind seven-year-old lay in a hospital room longing for her mother, unaware that eight years earlier a chance encounter occurred that would shape her life.
American musician Bobby Carter moved to Manchester, England with one objective—to become a major player in the postpunk scene of the late Seventies. His quest for stardom steers him in the direction of Kindle Hyrum, whose feistiness is only exceeded by her raw beauty. Though Bobby’s steady pursuit trumps Kindle’s cheeky resistance—sweeping them into present bliss—past secrets, new temptations, and a series of hapless and happy accidents will determine their future...and the future of a blind child.
Set to the lyrical soundtrack of the 60s and 70s, A Happy Accident is a story of love and choice that transcends the ages.

So, I have the pleasure to do this feature another week and I have one more nice book to recommend for you guys. =)

I had loved Rule Archer since the first moment I ever laid eyes on him. He was everything I shouldn't want and the only person I went out of my way to not try and please. He only saw me as a brat, and an entitled, stuck up princess but worse than that all he saw when he looked at me was his deceased twin's girl. It broke my heart because as much as I had loved Remy Archer there was never anything romantic between us and no matter how hard I tried to convince myself that loving Rule was a terrible idea, my poor heart just wouldn't listen. We tolerated each other, barely and had forged an uneasy alliance until one night I had too much to drink and changed the way we were forever. Suddenly life long secrets were no longer hidden and the one thing I always wanted for myself seemed obtainable as long as I was willing to go through hell to hold onto it.

Shaw Landon was a class act and I had no idea what to do with her. She was tied to my family, tied to the person that was my other half so I tolerated her and her haughty attitude when I didn't have any other choice. What I didn't know was that a short skirt and too many cocktails on her birthday was going to change my outlook on her for the rest of my life. Some people thought I hid behind all my tattoos and piercings, that I tried to distance myself from my dead twin, Shaw saw through it all and wasn't scared of what was underneath. We weren't supposed to be together, weren't supposed to be anything but uncomfortable acquaintances but that all changed in the blink of an eye. Now I had to figure out just how a girl like her and a guy like me were supposed to be in love without destroying each other. Add in her custom made ex and two disapproving sets of parents and the whole situation sounded like it was more trouble then it was worth.

Recommended for mature readers due to sexual content, language and drinking

I have never been much for reading contemporary books before. BUT, this christmas I discovered that I really really enjoyed to read contemporary romance books. I am so happy I gave it a try! So, this week I will step in and do this feature since it´s always Cecilia who does it =) I want to highlight Abbi Glines who is the author of for example Fallen too Far. That is the book I started with and I fell inlove with her writing. She writes a bit more on the grown up side since there is sex mentioned in the books. But she also writes YA books so there is something for everyone! More about Abbi Glines on Goodreads.

To want what you’re not supposed to have…

She is only nineteen.

She is his new stepfather’s daughter.

She is still naïve and innocent due to spending the last three years taking care of her sick mother.

But for twenty-four year old Rush Finlay, she is the only thing that has ever been off limits. His famous father’s guilt money, his mother’s desperation to win his love, and his charm are the three reasons he has never been told no.

Blaire Wynn left her small farmhouse in Alabama, after her mother passed away, to move in with her father and his new wife in their sprawling beach house along the Florida gulf coast. She isn’t prepared for the lifestyle change and she knows she’ll never fit into this world. Then there is her sexy stepbrother who her father leaves her with for the summer while he runs off to Paris with his wife. Rush is as spoiled as he is gorgeous. He is also getting under her skin. She knows he is anything but good for her and that he’ll never be faithful to anyone. He is jaded and has secrets Blaire knows she may never uncover but even knowing all of that…

Blaire just may have fallen too far.

When you open a book by her and starts reading it is like you step inside her books and it´s like you are right there. You can really see the world she is describing. It is just amazing. This week I am going to highlight my favorite book by her called September. You can read more about Rosamunde Pilcher on goodreads.

Rosamunde Pilcher's Scotland ...where the fields flourish with greenery, the hills bloom with purple, and the lochs glitter with the bright blue of the sky.

I love ironic humor! The funniest romances you could ever wish for have it. Romance and Humor in one book!! Perfect! Marian Keyes is so good at ironic humor! But another equally good at that art form is Claudia Carroll! You just have to love her books and she also have the funniest titles on her books. It couldn´t be any better if you ask me. This author might also fit in the chick lit category, but to be honest with you I am not really sure what that genre include. So for me this is contemporary romance light. Not to much focus on the sex part (sometimes no sex at all or only implied). The focus is more on the romancing part. Or the hundred ways our heroine can fuck up a relationship with the opposite sex! Very funny books to read if you ask me. Funny yet very sweet. You can read more about Claudia Carroll on goddreads and on Claudiacarroll.net

I Never fancied him anyway by Claudia Carroll

Cassandra can see the future with 100% accuracy . . . for everybody except herself.
Ever since Cassandra was a little girl, she's had a remarkable psychic gift. Now a successful columnist for a weekly magazine, she predicts the future with uncanny precision. And thanks to her stunning co-worker Charlene--and the latest love of Charlene's life, hot television producer Jack--Cassandra's moving up . . . to daytime TV
The trouble is, whenever Jack's around, the hapless seer's second sight goes dim--something that always seems to happen when a desirable single male is around. But despite a truly abysmal dating record, she believes Jack is the one for her . . . though Charlene might strongly disagree. Is true love or outrageous catastrophe right around the corner? Cassandra doesn't have a clue. But it seems even being able to foretell the future can't protect her from what destiny has in store . . . and sometimes fate won't allow you to look before you love.
Delightfully warm, odd, and unforgettable, Claudia Carroll's "I Never Fancied Him Anyway" is a quirky and hilarious story of seeing . . . and believing.

So do you feel romantic today?

I´ve been debating with my self what author to show case this week. There are so many great authors out there who could need some appreciation, or not. :)
Anyway I think I´ve decided to showcase an author who is very well known and I would say that most know of her? Or maybe you don´t? Anyway this week on contemporary romance one of my all time favorites will take the scene. Roberts is an author who have been with me from the beginning. She was one of the first Contemporary romance authors I read as a teenager.  I was hooked right away. She is so good at what she does and sometimes she even throws in a bit of the paranormal in her books. She has a way to just make you fall in love with the characters of her books and I just love that. Her books are perfect to escape to when you need a brake from life. This week I will showcase the first book in the 'born in' trilogy By Roberts.

Born in fire by Nora Roberts

Gifted, reclusive, stubborn, free-spirited...Maggie Concannon is a glassmaker whose exquisite works are more than mere objects of beauty, but reflections of her own true nature. One man saw the soul in her art, and vowed to help this complex woman build a lucrative career. When gallery owner Rogan Sweeney came to Maggie's isolated studio, her heart was enflamed by their fierce attraction - and her dark past was slowly healed by a gentle and forgiving love...

This week I wanted to highlight one of my favorite authors in this genre. I completely love her books. I have not read one book by her that I don´t like. She is so amazing at writing compassionate stories. And it is not just abot love in her books either. It´s about family, friendship and making though choices and figuring life out. She is so good to involve the reader as well in her books. When I read something by her I cry, laugh and I get so angry sometimes with her characters. It is like they come alive on the pages. Marian Keyes have a lot of books behind her but this week I am going to share my favourite series by her. You can find out more about Marian Keyes on goodreads and on her blog Mariankeyes.com If you haven´t already read something by her then this is the perfect series to start with and Watermelon (featured today) and Anybody out there? is my favourite books in this series.

The book I am going to share with you guys is the first book in the Walsh family series.

Marian Keyes begins Watermelon with a rather inauspicious romantic opening when the heroine's husband leaves her for Denise from the flat downstairs the day their first child is born. Claire, the deserted wife and mother, returns to her family in Dublin and, after going through the required stages of "Loss, Loneliness, Hopelessness and Humiliation", begins to feel much better--so much better that when James tries to win his way back into her affections, he gets more than he bargained for.

The complete series in the Walsh Family:
The watermelon #1
Rachel´s Holiday #2
Angels #3
Anybody out there? #4
The mystery of Mercy Close #5

Today I wanted to share an author who I love. Susan Wiggs has the most amazing writing style. she involves you as an reader to her stories and you get to really know her characters. I´ve been reading one of her series for a while now and I love every book she has written in this series. All her books can be read separately or in their right order. This series is written about the people of the little town Willow Lake. And the best thing about her books is that you get introduced to upcoming characters in the books. and when yo have read a few in this series you still hear about characters that you´ve read about. So  most characters stays with you in some way or other throughout this series. It is really great. I have not read all books in this series yet. I have read five so far, I have one in my bookshelf waiting for me and then I have three more to go. You can read more about Susan Wiggs and all her other books on goodreads and on her blog susanwiggs.com

The book I wanted to share with you today is the first book from the Lakeshore chronicles

Summer at Willow Lake by Susan Wiggs

Real estate expert Olivia Bellamy reluctantly trades a trendy Manhattan summer for her family's old resort camp in the Catskills, where her primary task will be renovating the bungalow colongy for her grandparents, who want one last summer together filled with fun, friends and family. A posh resort in its heyday, the camp is now in disarray and Olivia is forced to hire contractor Connor Davis -- a still-smoldering flame from her own summers at camp But as the days grow warm, not even the inviting blue waters of Willow Lake can cool the passions flaring or keep shocking secrets at bay. The nostalgic joy of summers past breathes new promise into a special place and people...a promise meant to last long after the season ends.
